Patti learned the value of hard work growing up in small town Saskatchewan. She left the prairies for Vancouver after obtaining her Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon.

After nearly 25 years in public practice, with the last 8 as a partner of Grant Thornton's advisory practice in Vancouver, Patti formed Daum Valuation and Financial Services Ltd.

Qualified as an independent financial expert in the Supreme Court of BC and at arbitration matters, Patti is an effective communicator and skilled at making the complex, understandable. Patti's communication style and desire to help clients move through difficult circumstances, contributes significantly to the timely resolution of financial matters that she is involved with, in both litigation and alternative dispute resolution contexts.

Patti has worked with numerous small to mid-sized business owners in valuing their businesses in most industries for a variety of reasons: financing, purchase or sale, corporate reorganizations, assisting with valuation provisions in shareholder agreements and resolution of a conflict within the shareholder group. A significant portion of Pattiā€™s practice is in the family law space, and Patti has a track record of helping clients successfully reach resolution on valuation issues in both litigation and collaborative divorce matters.

With 18 of her 25 years in public practice spent working exclusively in Advisory Services at Grant Thornton, Patti has provided extensive additional services to her clients, including the preparation of Guideline income reports, quantification of economic damages, special purpose risk assessments in the credit union space, financial modeling and forensic accounting.
